The Alpinist 8 is Markers full tour binding featuring both a pin toe and heel piece. The marker alpinist comes without a brake which allows it to weigh just 270g for maximum lightness when you are ascending, you can get brakes separately which bring total weight to 360g. This years toe piece has been updated with a new intuitive step in toe, this is provided by a wider step in platform, a higher rubber stop pad that you can easily push the front of your boot into it have also been made so you dont have to put as much force to click your boot into the toe.
